<FONT color=blue face="Times New Roman, Times, serif" size=6> <FONT size=2>I am looking for a new exhaust system for my mustang. I currently have stock exhaust on because before i had this car it was my dads and he didn't put any money in it. I have heard many different suggestions from flomaster, to Borla, etc...... I would like to know what exhaust system would be the best for my car. i am looking for horespower and torque gains over sound</FONT></FONT> <edited><editID>JR2003</editID><editDate>37879.5959375</editDate></edited>
<FONT face="Times New Roman, Times, serif" size=3>I also have a 99 GT that I'm looking for an exhaust system. I've been told a number of different kinds and I'm not sure what the difference is. </FONT></P>

<FONT size=2>I just have no clue about any of these. Most people I've asked just tell me what they like without any reasoning behind it, so I was wondering if I could get some help here. I'd prefer a big increase in hp as well as a louder, bass-like sound.</P></FONT>
Step 1: Magnaflow cat-back</P>
Step 2: Bassani x-pipe, or Magnaflow x-pipe (I went w/the Bassani)</P>
Step 3: Bassani Mid-length headers</P>
1+2+3= VERY VERY LOUD<IMG src=smileys/smiley8.gif border="0"></P>
I just gota flowmasters American Thunder exhaust system and it sound great, but only get this if you like hearing bass from those pipes all the time. Even at idle it's loud, but it turns heads everywhere I go.<IMG src=smileys/smiley14.gif border="0"></P>
Dynomax race bullets get really good reviews also, and supposedly flow really well. Might want to consider that. Only problem is they don't offer a cat-back with those mufflers, so if you want better tails than stock, you'll have to buy a set of tailpipes from somewhere.
I read a lot of the reviews onstang net and am now wondering what type of set backs would I run into if I bought the exhaust system piece by piece rather than a set from a specific manufacturer. For example, the bassani system got really high ratings and good reviews, but there are some other high ratings on just mufflers and the such. <edited><editID>mustangforums</editID><editDate>37882.8414814815</editDate></edited>
