2004 GT

Anyone taken their rear wing off and left it off? Is there an easy way to plug the holes? Will a cobra wing (03-04) fit on those holes. Anyone have some pics?

I was wondering the same thing, the spoiler on a GT just looks out of place to me

 

i cant imagine it would be too hard to take them off, but dont ask me, i havnet done it,,
but you might consider moving it back on the trunk a few inches..

the branch manager at the bank i got my loan from had a yellow 99, he moved the thing back until the base of it was more flush, that is even, with the end of the trunk,,

looked alright, but unless you knew, you couldnt really tell

 

Removing the spoiler is simple. To cover the holes you'd need a good body guy to fill and paint.

 

I have pictures of my 02 GT with no spoiler, I can post them when I get home from work?

 

I took mine off and plugged the holes with interior tabs. You can get them at an auto parts store. They are black plastic with a threaded end. They just push in. Hope this helps

 

I've seen quite a few people remove their spoilers and put either other mustang spoilers on, or leave them off all together. I don't know much about plugging the holes, but I've heard of people getting stuff from auto stores. You could always ask someone that works there what would be best.
