seriously FEBREEZE FABRIC! all grocery stores have it. I use the light purple scent. They should also have a hardcore heavy duty one.. you may want to get both.. let me know how it goes with it.. PM me the results

You need a secondary car to drive for a few days [&:] Park the car in a garage, take the seats out and soak them in upholstry foam cleaner, scrub them and let them dry. Do the same thing with the carpet in the car. When the carpet is all dry, if it still smells musty then you need to take it out and do the same thing to the underside padding. If this doesn't help, then spend $150 and get a new piece of carpet.

The bottom line is you need time and patience to let it dry out. You can speed the drying process of the carpet by placing a fan or two in there at high speed.
