SVTBill,
You'll really be happy with the PC.

WTG- way to go?.

SVTBill,
Be patient with it. It has a little bit of a learning curve. For paint correction you need to use speeds 5-6 (usually 6). Dont start with the most aggressive product. Work your way up to the most aggressive. Mist a pad with a little qd. before you put it on your paint. If you use Optimum products remember a little goes a long long way. Take care of your pads. Wash them after each use. I've had pretty good luck washing mine in the washing machine.

thanks for your tips

What are some other ways to wash the pads?

I have a car to prac. on but it does not have a clear, it's that kind of paint where the clear is in it...so, I guess my first car to put it on will be the mustang [&:]

How much QD should i be putting on the pad?

Any more advice?

thanks

You can get some stuff called - Snappy Clean to clean the pads or you can soak them in car wash. I soak mine in Dawn/Water and then wash them.
You're talking about Single Stage paint.
Just mist the pad a little. It kinda softens the foam up before you put it on your paint.
Put the pc on the car and then turn it on and take it off the car when it stops spinning after you turn it off.

I found a few "how to" videos which are pretty informative

the PC won't be here till monday due to some shipping complications, but thats no problem at all

i talked to my bro. in law today and he said i can use his truck as prac. , it actually has a clear on it and is like "normal" paint, but it's been pretty neglected, so i'll be able to get a little bit of experience in every field. ex. swirl removal, polish, glaze etc etc.

im pretty pumped about getting it

you guys have any vid. links?
