Default garden hose filter

i live in a area where we are all on well water, put it like this, nobody drinks it. anyway i was wondering if there isn't a filter i could put on my garden hose to give me better water to wash my car with. i have soft water inside and could put a valve to hook to my hose if needed but don't know if soft water would be that good for washing my car. any thoughts on this.

It would be a great idea, it'll cut down on water spots majorly.

However, if you don't use a sprayer, you will be replacing the filter constantly.

The mr clean filter is expensive and the whole unit is big and bulky, no?

Ever take a shower in hard (well or city) water, and then take a shower in softened water....you know the difference in how the soap lathers and how it feels when you rinse.....wouldn't you want your car to feel that way too [8D] Use the softened water if you can, and as for spotting just make sure you rinse all the soap off real good and get the car dried off...and do it out of the sun if at all possible.

My outside spigots are part of the softened system in my house so the car wash soap lathers up nice and goes a long way

I don't buy into the Mr. Clean and other spotless systems...my spotless system is a good microfiber dryer followed by a quick mist of the detailer spray and another micro.

The Mr Clean worked awesome for me. I just felt like a tool using it and the parts & soap was expensive.
