Wax & or Polish
well i got my mustang back to looking good. meguiars three step, cleaner, polish and wax kit. now i read on there site that the polish does just that, polishes then the wax protects. so now what, do i wait until i wash and the paint doesn't shine then polish and wax. do i polish on a regular basis, do i wax on a regular basis. after spending all day cleaning, polishing and waxing i don't want to go through that every other weekend, worth the effort but a lot of work.
their three step includes a carnuba wax as the third step
carnuba waxes look very good but they only last about 3 weeks depending on your driving conditions
i can't really understand your post, but it sounds liek you've already done all three steps and you're now looking for maintanance
if this is the case you'll have to rewax every three weeks
did you try a clay bar? i highly suggest using one before all three steps to remove any embedded contaminants from your paint and bring out a "like glass" feel to your finish
if you want a wax with good durability and you want to stay in the meguiar's product line then i highly suggest the NXT paste wax...great dept on my redfire and it will last considerably longer than the carnuba you used. It can also be topped with the step 3

If you want a top-coat that offers a durable protection, use a sealant.
I use Optimum Opti-Seal from obsessivedetail.com. You wipe it on and it dries, no need to wipe it off. It's layerable and it has twice the life of protection of the best carnuba's out there.

I agree with Dan. The Opti-Seal is so much more durable than those products. The good thing about OS is that you can put it over the top of your Megs products. This will really extend your protection plus the OS gives an awesome look plus a really slick feel.
