Anyone have a lot of experience with silver?
I have a silver 2000 GT, and granted it's clean year 'round, i'm still not satisfied with how glossy it is. I know that working with light colors like this is a totally different animal, but I didn't know if there were any products in particular I should be open to to make it deeper and more wet looking. Any input?
I detail cars for a living and do many silver vehicles. Firstoff if you haven't I would claybar thewhole car to remove the embeded contaminants from the paint. Next use a polish to bring out more shine and reflection plus prep the paint for the next steps. For silver I prefer to use a sealant instead of a wax.Sealants really make silver pop.My sealant of choice on silver is Optimum Opti-Seal whichI currently have on sale. You just wipe this on and walk away, there is no need to buff off because it dissappears. This will give your silver a lot of gloss and refliveness. I also recommend my Wet Glaze before addding the sealant, the glaze will add a lot of depth and wetness to the paint.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have anymore questions I can help you with!

Oh i'll definitely be in touch. I figured from looking around the detailing forum Obsessive Detail would be the place to go. I'll most likely be ordering a PC from you real soon as well, ha.
Its a good investment for you. If you have anymore questions feel free to contact justin he has excellent customer service. I usually call him about products he always has the answers. Its a good feeling knowing your not using a product blindly.
