What is the Tire and Rim package on the 03,04 Cobra?I have a 01 GT and I want to get the Chrome Cobra Rims.I was looking at Ebay and they have the replica's that are 18x9 but I dont want to put a strain or loose gas mileage or slow my car down will the 18x9 do that? If i get the 18x9 what is a good tire that will keep me speeding around. And keep my gas Mileage up somewhat? Oh not to forget the ride of the car its a daily driver.

i DON'T KNOW IF IM THE pHIL YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT LOL BUT I JUST PURCHASED A RIMS 03 COBRA RIMS FROM O.E WHEEL DISTRIBUTORS 17X9 THEY LOOKED GREAT BUT 2 WEEKS AFTER I PUT THEM ON NOW I SEE THE ALUMIUNUM COMING THROUGH THE CHROME BY THE LUG NUT HOLES ALL AROUND THE LUG NUTS IM LIKE WTF!!!! (LOOKS LIKE A COPPER COLOR.. ITS DISGUSTING)SO NOW I HAVE TO CALL THEM AND TALK TO THEM SEE WHATS UP ABOUT EXCHANGING THEM BE CAREFUL ON E BAY! YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. WHEN I GOT MY SLP ZR-1 RIMS FROM SLP FOR MY Z28 I HAD ZERO PROBS WITH THEM. I HEARD FROM A FEW WEBSITES THAT THERE IS A FEW STEPS THAT NEED TO BE TAKEN TO CHROME RIMS.. AND TO CHROME TO ALUMINUM IS VERY TRICKY.. SO I THINK I SEE THE START OF A MAJOR PROBLEM HERE..

Hey,Phil Im Phil too lol but thanks your help you got me thinking about the rims.Where your Cobra Rims Genuine Ford or SVT or Replicas because I was looking at the Replicas on ebay but I think I am going to go with the Genuine SVT 17x9 on all fours.What would be a good tire if you dont mind me asking what is your cobra rims wrapped in?

 

yeah you gotta watch out with aftermarket .. with oem you pay a little more but u get the quality.. now i have this headache with these guys i gotta go through

i have 245 45 17 Kumho Ecsta asx all season tires on them great tire great traction in rain etc.. dry... i would go with a wider tire though like 255 or 265

 

275's on a 17x9 for sure.

Does ford even make a chrome cobra rim?

 

I have 275's on an 8.5 inch wide rim.
