Default Hood Scoop Install

Hola..

Wondering if anyone has done this...

Just got a hood scoop for my 00 GT for a local guy.. taken off his old stock hood. Back from paint today.. Installed my CatBack tonight and was gonna do this too.. but I got REALLY Nervous :X.. DOn't want to **** up my hood.

Was wondering if anyone knew where to get a template to install the FORD hood scoop (Not an aftermarket) from an 02 hood on my 00. Need to drill about 9-10 holes I think.. so.. really friggin nervous

ANy thoughts or suggestions would be welcome.

Could I maybe get some kind of template from ford?

Make a template out of cardboard from the hood scoop itself.... you can get bolt studs without heads from home depot, then just make the holes through the cardboard.

Then just measure the corner holesfrom 4 different angles of the hood to make sure ya got it centered, and go. The hood is just fiberglass, so no rust problems, although ya might want to pick up some trim tape for the bottom of the scoop to keep the water out.

Pretty simple really.

Here's a question for ya guys... I have an 04 stang, will a 99-03 scoop work on my hood?

The scoop has the molding and everything.. so the seal isnt' the problem.. has all the hardware too.. my issue is just the drilling.. will try your suggestion tho.. thanks for the ideas.
