i am looking for a great, deep sound for my fox body. i believe i am going to get the 2 1/2 flowmaster american thunder. does anyone have this system and have any comments on it or its sound or performance? or has anyone heard of any reviews about the american thunder system?

 

Major loud a$$ drone, great sounding but you gotta pop a BC powder before you take any kinda road trip. Too bad the performance isn't as good as the sound, they don't add much hp compared to other companies.

 

oh ok, any opinions on other exhaust systems?

yeah i know that magnaflow and borla are good companies, but i am not able to spend $400-600 on an exhaust system. is there really THAT much difference btw flowmaster and magnaflow/borla? more power gain? or just better sounding?

 

magnaflow is 340.00 shipped from a wholesaler on ebay. Thats where I got mine, got it in 2 days.

From the crap I've researched Magnaflow adds 5+ more hp than Flowmaster on a NA motor, and nearly 20hp in a SC motor. Magnaflow systems are designed perfectly and they are very nice looking systems, Borla's numbers are close with Magnaflow and their quality on F-Body mufflers is the best system, so I can imagine their quality should be great too.</P>

Magnaflow is better. Bassani is better, but expensive. If you want loud go with the new Magnaflow magnapack system it's f'n loud with an x-pipe and headers!</P>
