a simple question
hey guys.
i have a 98 stang, prolly with the original paint, and it needs a wax job badly.
let me get this right [my dad's told me, but i always forget]
you wash the whole car, then let it dry,
then you apply a bit of wax to a small section [either 1x1 or section], rub it in, then let it haze and whipe it off.
[that's in the faq, i'm pretty sure... but i just wanted to address it, sometimes i'm thick]
i was just wondering what's the cheapest / best soap i can buy at like autozone?
i'm not out to make my car look like it's ready for a show, mind you. i just don't want my paint to get owned.

Wash it and then dry it. If you dont dry it, you'll get water spots. You'll read alot about clay bars. These things really work. There's no telling what you'll get out of that paint with the clay bar. If you dont want to spend alot of money, get the first two steps of the Meguairs Deep Crystal 3 step system and then top it a decent wax. It will wake that paint up.
Yeah wax/polish is pretty much wax on/ wax off. Put the stuff on thin. It does just as good as if you put it on thick, and its easier to get off too.
Put some time into the stickies up on top of this forum. You'll find some good info there. And check out the sponsors too.
