Default Cleaning a flat black stripe?

Ever since I brought my car home from the dealer the stripe has what looks like some left over wax on it. I've tried all kinds of car wash to try and remove it with no luck. Anyone know of a cleaner for the Vinyl. I'm also worried because I know a lot of products will make it look shiny and I don't want that to happen. Thanks for your help.

Poorboys Pro Polish would work on removing the wax residue, this is a chemical polish with no abrassives. Most waxes and polishes are safe on it, I recommend keeping some kind of protection on there to keep it looking good.
