I heard it's not good to wax new cars is it true.

i waxed my new mustang and it looks really nice..i used meguiars new synthetic wax and it looks nice..thats just kinda silly

The paint needs time to cure. Look at your build date and add 30-90 days for a safe wax window. Some say new car paint is already cured because of the 400* bake, but I'd play safe.

yes, new cars already cured. existing cars that are re-painted need the curing time. wax is safe and beneficial for our rides. that reminds me that i need to wash/wax mine soon [8D].

After 90 days...unless you have newer paint...wax away. Check out the DETAILING threads on how to keep your horse pretty!

Wax that thang.. No harm. I've waxed cars the moment I got home from the dealer. Never an issue.

yeah it's definitely cured, the paint is pretty baked on on these things. I started waxing mine maybe 2 months after I got it, not sure. I use carnauba wax but I'd recommend meguiars gold carnauba..I'm using blue carnauba wax right now and as they say, there's no such thing as blue carnauba. but it does the job
