Default GT Side Emblem

I was wondering if any one knew how to remove the side emblems on a 2004 Mustang GT. I own a 2004 GT with the 40th anniversary logos on the side. I wanted to replace them with the GT logos. Any responses would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You can take them off using fishing line or floss, just get it in the grooves and move it back and forth, I did this and then took a screw driver, wrapped the head with electrical tape (so it wouldnt scratch the paint and put it on. Take your time tho, dont be in a rush or you'll scratch your car...

might also help you to heat them with a hair drying...don't melt them, but heat it to get the glue to soften. You can use a product called "Goof Off" to remove any extra glue.

I wrapped a butter knife in a towel after letting the car sit in the sun all day. They came right off and didn't harm the paint. I took some WD40 to remove the remaining glue.

Thank you very much for your responses. I take it that the logos are just stuck on with adhesive and do not have a bolt going through them? I was also wondering if anyone had any other suggestions to spice up the look of my GT? I have not done anything to the exterior appearance yet. I was planning on putting the Mach 1 Chin spoiler on the front. Does anyone know if the spoiler is hard to install? Thanks for your responses.

All fender emblems have 2 prongs in the back. The fender itself has the 2 holes, that along with the adhesive helps the emblem stay on, so make sure you get the gt badges for the fenders and not the ones for the trunk. The chin spoiler isnt hard to install just use plastic rivets to put it on. I also think u should get the mach 1 grille...

This may be a stupid question.....but will I have to replace the two prongs or will the GT logos have them on there. Also the Mach1 grille is the grille delete correct?

Thank you!

If you get the GT emblems that are made for the fenders they will have the pins. The ones for the trunk do not have pins.
Yeah the Mach 1 grille is the grille delete
