NuFinish?
Anyone try this stuff? Found it at my local walgreens... they say its the "once a year car polish" and well, i decided to wash my car today and i tried it out. I am extremely impressed, but i have to wait for the sun tomorow to take pictures. Finished it and it just got dusk out

they also have a scratch remover thing for swirl marks, i wanna try that. Took my car through a carwash once, and it left some small swirl marks.
it was only like 6$ to
oh and my next purchase is going to be from justin
When i get some more cash, im going to do a full detail this spring, starting from scratch. Iv kinda piled different things onto my car and i want to start from scratch.
Right now it has
Washed with Turtle Wax Ice
Layer of Turtle Wax Ice Wax
and a layer of the NuFinish Polish

I use it on my company ride/daily driver - followed by a coat of carnuba wax to offer more protection. But I wouldn't use anything now on my 'Stangs other than what Justin has recommended
I swear by the stuff..........everybody else is welcome to paying $50 or whatever for their designer car wax is. My secret is Mothers clay bar, followed by 3M paste wax(ok, this is $17 CAD)sealed with Nu Finish. By the way, I did this in November and its starting to look like it could use a new coat. It does last.
First of all Buster, you are going about it all the wrong way. Clay first then seal then wax.
All, The Nufinish leaves a haze like appearance to your paint job. The old saying is "You get what you pay for" it does stand to reason on the NuFinish. Many people have to come to my detail shop to have their paint fixed after using this product. I would recommend not using but it is your car and you have to live with it.

NuFinish is a polish, not a wax - thus it should be your middle coat (it helps to revitalize the paint) with the wax being the final coat. I wouldn't go as far to say it hazes or will harm your paint, but I just wouldn't use it on my 'Stangs. So Clay, then Nufinish, then wax.
And BTW - there are SEVERAL good quality designer brands out there for much less money than what you think. Talk to Justin at Obsessive Detail - you won't be disappointed. I was once like you and only bought OTC products at the auto stores - but a few conversations with Justin and trying several of his products, I'm a believer
And another thing - you may pay more for designer brands, but they are blended to go a long way. You will use much less product per application than the NuFinish, thus you will pay about the same based on how much you use.
