Default Turtlewax Color Cure

I bought some of this off ebay because they dont make it for my color anymore. I went to apply the wax stick (looks like lip stick) and the stuff is pretty brittle. It just breaks off into little pieces. It says it needs to be warm, but its like 50 degrees outside. Is the stuff too old and the wax stale/brittle? Or is it just not warm enough. Id appreciate any suggestions/comments if anyone here has used it before. Its for a little rock ding btw.

It's probably the fact that it sucks?

Have you thought of picking up some color matched touch-up paint?

it really does need to be warm to use. it most likely wont break apart if you warm it up enough

do you have a picture of the scratch or chip? you might need to use a little touch up paint, followed be wet sanding and polishing for best results

That stuff generally needs to be applied when it is around 80 or so out. It only lasts for a few days. Really go with the touch up and wet sand, you will be much happier with the end result.

Do you have a buffer?

Otherwise you'll have fine scratches that will look like ripples in your paint from wet sanding. You'll need a buffer to get the smooth clear finish you want.

No i do not have a buffer. I have a can of rubbing compound which is supposed to remove little scratchs and stuff. Would that work?

Im a little bit unclear when you say buffer do you mean like solution or a porter cable polisher? Im a bit new to this stuff. But I do not have any type of polishing tool. I have several electric drills if they would work with attached pads.
