Time between polish and wax

Time between polish and wax

I just finished polishing my car and I have to go to dinner before I will have time to wax it. Will it be ok if there is and hour/ hour 1/2 between polishing and waxing

You can actually go right to the wax after polishing, you don't need to wait at all.

Yea I usually do... I have to go to dinner and I was trying to ask if it will be ok to have about 2 hours in between the polishing and the wax coat

Yeah that will be fine, sorry I misread your post.

A little bit of dust might accumulate in that amount of time, you might want to spray on a quick detailer to get rid of any contaminants on the paint before you apply the wax.

+1 on that...I was pulled away from waxing my car on Monday, and it sat for about an hour before I could put wax on it. Now, I had the car garaged, but it shouldn't be too much different from your situation.
