Default Ebay Headlights

So my headlights are fogged and pitted pretty bad so I am going to replace them. Generally it seems to be around $200 bucks to get the smoked ones with the clear reflector and a bit more to get an OEM looking Smoked replacement. Now Ive stumbled onto these off ebay

Anyone else taken the chance on the ebay headlights, and what was your experience with them?

I bought my replacement head lights off the bay, and after 6 months they still work and look great. I bought from a different vendor. The fit was perfect with all the lines matching up great. $100 dollars for both with the new bulbs included was money well spent IMOH. Here is the link tothe vendor I bought from:

I plan on washing the stang and painting the calipers tomarrow. I will try to get some decent pics of my 6 month old replacements then. I will vouch for the vendor I referenced above. The headlights are great, and the price is more than right compared to OEM.

The only thing that I would be worried about is condensation. A lot of the aftermarket lights, including the $200 ones from AM, suffer from condensation build up when they are not sealed right. Just use some silicone around the seals to ensure that they won't do this.

Mine have never condensed. And I have never siliconed them. I have to say these things are are just as good as what I had on the car when I bought it 4 years ago.

I emailed the vendor you bought from, and the vendor I listed, you vender responded right away. So despite these just being a stock replacement, and not ones with the clear corners, I went ahead and ordered them from this vendor. Once I get them in, sealed and installed Im going to try to cleaning of the original ones, to see how that works out.

Sounds great. I might get out my old ones and try the wet sanding, and clear coat. When these new one arrive, check the height adjustment screw. Mine was screwed all the way down causing them to fit to tight. After backing the screw it slid right in. Then use the owners manual to adjust the beam height. Congrats on the new head lights, you will find yourself admiring you car more as I do.
