They might be able to wetsand it a little and save it from being repainted. Man I hate to hear that kinda stuff. Good luck with it.

One of the down sides to owning a nice looking car. I dread that happening.

Sorry to hear, I hate reading these posts. I would try buffing it with some touch up paint first. It worked pretty well for me anyway, as long as its not too deep. Hope you figure out who it was somehow.

General rule of thumb is that if you can feel it with your finger nail than it's going to need to paint to make it correct.

Wow, $80 is a great price. I'd be worried about the job they'd do though. A good body shop will get the paint from the manufacturer and tint it to match the paint on your car (from years of fading, etc). I'm betting for $80 they'll just fill it with the paint, wet sand it, and polish it back up. Still, it's better than the scratch. For $80 though, it's not a hard job to do yourself.

well normally they charge $300 but all my fellow officers go to the same place and they do a great job but im only worried about getting the scratches out and making it look as good as possible. plus its black and ill admit im still a bit scared to take a pc to the black paint. i dont wanna fudge it up
