Default black magic engine shine

Ugh, this stuff was a waste of $5 or whatever. I bought it and used it today... not a damn change. Looks just as dirty except now it has a small white residue on some of the plastic. Spray on - wait 15 minutes - rinse off.. not too hard to do that but didn't seem to be useful. FYI.

Did you clean the engine first with a good degreaser? If I know what you're talking about, it's just a dressing, and not a very good one at that.

Get a good degreaser like Chemical Guys Grime Reaper and a good dressing like CD2 and you should have better results.

Edit: Ahh, I looked it up, it is supposed to be a degreaser. It probably sucks just like their protection shine that I have. Get some of that Grime Reaper. There is another thread right next to this one where I talked about the same situation. It cleaned my engine up in just a few minutes.

Interesting, I guess you can't get an entire line of products to be fantastic. I have their matte tire finish, it's wonderful, leaves a dark just shiny enough surface to look really nice without looking like it has a coat of oil on it. Lasts a good time and lets me wipe off dust for days as well.
