bug splatter prevention

Default bug splatter prevention

im about to go on a long road trip, what can i do to prevent bugs from leaving spots all over my front end? i will definately wax it before the trip and clean them off as soon as i reach my destination but is there is other kind of coating i can put on there?

thats about it. more wax = less bugs. put a good coat of optiseal on your windshield, too. you can carry a bottle of quick detailer with you to wipe some off when you stop. be sure to use a lot of qd and only do it if theres very little dirt

Apparently there's a product from rain-x or something meant for this purpose, alternately, I've heard of people using pam cooking spray on their fronts to keep things from sticking, them just wash it off when you get to your destination.

I just have a layer of sealant and wax on my car. The bugs come right off when I wash it without and scrubbing. I have that rain-x thing but I have never actually used it.

Somebody I used to work with was going on a long road trip a while back and bought liquid teflon to put on his car for that very reason.

I don't remember if he actually did it or if it worked or not, but maybe another option to look into.
