Default obsessive detial product help

I've got a dark blue mustang thats in need of a very good polish/wax. I claybar'd it and waxed it yesterday but it dosen't look as good as i think it should and the paint on the hood and roof still isn't as smooth as the rest, the clay bar helped but didn't get rid of all of it. Anyone out there recommend some good obsessive detail polish/wax that can help make the car look better than ever.

I would go with OD Light Polish, this will clean the paint, bring out more shine and reflection, and prep the paint for the next steps. Now you can add OD Wet Glaze to give a lot of wetness and depth to the paint, this will also add some more slickness as well. Lastly top with a carnauba wax, my OD Wet Wax works really well and adds some nice depth and wetness, if you are wanting a high end carnauba with awesome looks my Wet Obsession paste wax is the way to go.

You can do all of the products I mentioned by hand, it will look really good, if you want to take your paint to a new level the Porter Cable polisher is what you need. It is really worth the investment.

Let me know if you have anymore questions. Thanks!

thanks for the speedy response! I've been looking at polishers but i don't want to spend a lot on something i won't use too often, and the cheapest one i've found that looks decent was 99.99. Could you throw me a link the the 3 products you recommended? I don't want to order the wrong ones...thanks for all the help.

Here is the link to the OD product line http://www.obsessivedetail.com/Obses...lProducts.html

Here is the PC and packages page http://www.obsessivedetail.com/Buffer.html

You can get the polishers for around $99 by themselves. By the time you figure shipping, and having to buy the backing plate with the correct pads it is more worthwile to get everything as a package.
