Default 3M Rock Chip protectant

For those of you who live in areas where there is gravel, you may appreciate a product that helps to protect the front of your hood, bumper, and mirrors.

It is a clear protectant film that goes on your car. Most people do about 10 -14 inches of the hood, depending on your liking but some go all out. Think about clear plastic wrapping the front of your car, but then heat shrink it.

My question here is if you have such a product on your car...

1. Who is the manufacturer?
2. How long have you had it on your car?
3. Does it still look good?

I have seen it on many cars here in Canada both foreign and domestic cars. Some times the coating has faded quite badly and looks like crap. I am trying to avoid that manufacturer. Looking for some feedback here to help make a decision.
