Default little black dots

I have these little black dots all over my car. Hood, fenders, doors, roof, quarter panels. I don't know what they are; maybe hardened dead bugs? The wand and the brush at the car wash won't touch em. Neither did the bugs b gone. The only way I can get them off is to scrape them off with my thumbnail.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get these things off? There must be a hundred of em.

Thanks.

ps sorry but no pics

my first guess would be try a clay bar. they also may be tree sap. we had a tree in our yard that would leave little orange colored dots that were about 2mm wide. they were a pain. or try and find some stoner tarminator and see if that takes care of it.

Stop parking under trees or near them. It's hardened tree sap.

Turtle Wax bug and tar remover will get them out. That stuff will get rid of anything without damaging your paint and I have used it for years.

well fifteen dollars later (with my discount) the clay bar system did -0-. I'll try the turtle wax bug and tar remover.

Thanks.

ok the turtle wax bug/tar/wax remover seems to be doing the trick (I opted for the one you pour onto the rag as opposed to the spray, since and said "and sap" in the name). Lots and lots of elbow grease, but it IS working.

So thanks.

Yeah I was wondering about that as well. Seemed weird that he got banned with these being his only post, hmm, whatever.
