New Car Waxing
I am expecting my new '05 GT to be here sometime this week. A friend of mine told me I should wait a while before waxing it because the paint has to finish curing. Is this true, and if so how long should I wait before waxing, polishing, or doing anything else?
Look at the builld date on the door, I bet your car is over 2 months old. The general rule is to wait 1 month on new paint before waxing, you can however use a polish before that. On cars I have painted I wait one week before I wet sand and buff.

No it's not true. Your car will come from the factory oven cured. You can wax it right away.

Its not a good idea to wax our car unless you've had it for a few months. The paints new so why would you want to wax it??? Just wait a while till you notice that it isnt as shiny and then wax it... I didnt wax mine til I had it for almost 6 months...
