S197 woes
So my car was waxed and washed over at the dealership after they put it back together due to a mishap with my dad and traction control.
Anywho when I got the car back I noticed they got wax on the rubber seals around the windows. Now Ive tried to scrub them, armorall them and even take a toothbrush and scrub them but after it dries theres still those damn white marks from wax getting on them.
Does anybody know how I could go about getting it off?

Search feature is your friend...this is discussed OFTEN and as recently as last week. WD-40 will dissolve wax residue from plastic trim and/or rubber seals. Spray it on a rag and use your finger tip to rub it in.....presto
Yeah I got so used to the search feature being useless so I just got into the habit of ignoring it.
But yeah Ill try it tommorow and if it doesnt work, Im keying your saleen.
lol jk
but not really....

Duff...something is wrong with your WD-40 man
I swear by the stuff, never met a patch of wax residue that it wouldn't dissolve
If the surface is porous or course, then perhaps the rag isn't getting in deep enough....perhaps that would be a good time to actually spray onto the trim/foam so it can soak in better
But you should mask of the painted areas first so you don't remove the wax from car

did they wax the car right after they painted it? if so, then that wasnt a good idea on their part. the paint needs to cure for a while (at least 30 days) before a layer of wax gets put on it. that way all the oils have time to escape.
