Hey guys detailed my car about a month ago. Wash, clay, wax. However I didnt polish but I was wondering if i could use scratchx to get the swirls out of the paint. It says that will get them out. Any help? Thanks.

Scratch X will correct the swirls and scratches for a while, but they will eventually come back. Scratch X is loaded with fillers that pretty much hide the imperfections. I would look into getting a light abrassive polish to actually correct instead of hide them.

Oh ok i might try the scratchx just to see what it does. Do you just put it on an applicator pad and light apply it on the whole car??

You can use an applicator by hand or with a machine. You can apply pressure if you need to.

Not to cause any trouble or a dispute but scratchX doesn't contain any filling propeties. It is however a paint cleaner, that has diminishing abrasives and chemical cleaners but not to aggressive in that it won't harm your paint like a compound cleaner that sometimes applies swirls and scratches to remove the contaminants on your paint.

And the new formula is for applying by machine which is for better then the older formula which took all day to do your car the right way.

Hope I shade some light on this subject.

if you have swirls might better use some megs # 9 swirl remover. Dealer swirled my new car bad and it took them out first try.

If they are light scratches, the scratch-x works great. If they are deep, plan on applying a LOT of elbow grease, but i would rather use something less abrasive than taking off more paint than i have to.

Polishing compound? If it's too deep you'll need some touch up paint...
