How much is a good paintjob? Also i have heard of paintjobs with sooo much clearcoat on it that, even if u tried scratchin it, there would be no effect. Is this true??//

It all depends on how good the body is to start with, paint jobs are 99% prep work. Color choice will affect the cost as well (red is the most $$). I will go out on a limb and say that you are looking at least $2000 for a decent job more if it is a color change (door and trunk jambs add up). As for clear coats you want no more than two med-heavy coats, more than that can cause yellowing due to the high solids in todays clears.

You can get a "good" paint job for around 3,000 but it can cost up to 5,000 if you get a color change and get a metallic flake with it to. So for a paint job that you would want to put on your stang your lookin at- grand easy...
