anybody ever tint their own windows? how hard is it and how long did it take?

 

I would just let someone do it. You dont wanna look like those mexis with crap purple bubbly tint all over the place.

 

I had 35% tint on my old car and couldnt even tell a difference from the "stock" windows. Went a different route when I got my stang. I went 5% all around and i am located in MO which has a tint law of 35% in the fronts. I drive by cops all the time and havent been pulled over yet. Most of them around here dont care unless they pull you over for something else and then they might write you a ticket for your windows. In most cases that I have heard around here they just tell you to go get it takin off and maybe write you a warning. If I were you I would go darker than 35% because I couldnt tell a difference at all on my old car. Thats just my 2 cents being put in though.

 

have 35% all around on my car...i have the DSG and it looks great on there...its not to crazy dark but not light either...DO IT!!!

 

If I am not mistaken mine is 35% on the sides and 20% in the back. It is great, I sort of wish I went a tad darker but I wanted to stay on the safe side of things, I know three people that have been pulled over for their tint in the last year around here so I don't feel like testing it.

Well im going to get 35% all around next week sometime!! From these pics i see posted on here, they look pretty dark to me!! Nice pics by the way!

 

i have 20% all around and a 2% 6 inch strip on front windshield over the 20... it is difficult backing up at night sometimes, but it is worth it. i know people with 35% and it isnt that dark and doesnt keep the interior as cool in summer. here in GA, it gets hot and im glad i went 20%.

 

How can u have the front windows tinted? I dunno guys, i had some bad experiences with certain mods that were on my cavy and im not goin through that crap again. Only one ticket but dont like gettin pulled over for mods ive done to my car. Maybe if i coud see a stang wit h35 and 20% tinti, it would help alot!! Thnx

 

The only reason the 35% looks dark in those pics is because of the angle. Any picture takin at a certain angle will make the windows look dark even if they have no tint at all. 35% tint just isnt worth the money because you cant tell a difference really.

 

What kind of tint u have?In your sig, it looks REALLY dark!!?? I think blk cars look nice with dark tint but to have 20% on my car would be a lil too dark. Jus what i think.
