To get the paint looking its best you want to properly prep the vehicle. I would claybar, polish, glaze, and then put on a sealant or wax or both.
First you want to wash the vehicle as normal. Then claybar the whole vehicle to remove any embedded contaminants. I like to do this every 2-3 months.
Next, you want to polish to clean the paint, remove light swirls and scratches, bring out more shine and reflection, plus this preps the paint for the next steps. My Light Polish is really popular among the members here.
I recommend going with my Wet Glaze after the polish to make the paint look really deep and wet looking.
Now you can put on a wax or sealant or both. I like to use both to get the best of both worlds. In my opinion, a sealant will look a lot better on your color. My Hyper Shine and Optimum Opti Seal will both look excellent and give some good protection. If you are looking for a cheaper wax my Wet Wax or Optimum Spray Wax will also work great.
Hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions.
BTW- all of these products will work fine on your stripes.

Ok thanks. I dont know if you can tell from the pictures but the stripes on the side and hood are the decals, i guess thats what you call them, and i thought you couldn't put wax or polish on them because they turn white or get messed up.
Yeah, my products are safe on the vinyl graphics and won't leave any white residue at all. They go on and off easy and come off clear. Now, there are other brands of waxes and polishes that will leave the white residue like you are talking about.
Ok thanks I wasn't sure.
Ok so this is the order i should do it and these are good products?
1) Wash
2) Claybar (im not gonna do this now, ill do it in the spring)
3) Light Polish
4) Optimum Spray Wax

I'm going to give 20% off on products from Obsessive Detail until the end of this year. The 20% won't count on Porter Cable polishers or package deals. Just enter mustang forum member in the comment box at checkout and I will refund the 20% discount back.
Be sure to checkout my other site www.theragshack.com for some awesome specials too. I have a lot of my high quality towels at some crazy cheap prices!
