Any ideas on cleaning the heat shield thats attached to the underside of the hood? I just detailed my engine compartment and everything looks great except for that. thanks.

Default RE: Heat Shield Cleaning

just pop out the factory "rivets" and wipe it down with water and a rag while it is out of the car and on the ground? i dont have a heat shield anymore, i made my v6 "hood scoop" funtional by removing the honey comb piece and there are 5 holes behind it, i put a little screen i cut to fit the shape of the old piece in and it keeps it cool that way... doesnt heat up paint like some people say it will. it is normal to the touch. i also ran my CAI down with duct tubing to the foglight area. i mounted my filter at the foglight for a "ram air" effect. i just want the coldest, lowest to the ground air possible.
