Default Rain-X complete wash?

Theres a new option for a Rain-X complete wash at the local car washes. Think this would work well?

The process looks like: wash, wax, rainx coat. It's also pretty pricey for an automated car wash. $10

I live in a very dusty, rainy, area and when combined with a black car; it makes it HELL to keep clean. 3-4 days after a normal wash & wax will leave my car looking dirty

Thoughts?

I wouldn't go to an automated wash, you're asking for swirl city on your paint.

It's touchless.
Just water, air pressure, and two giant turbo looking things to dry it off.

They have that around here where I live. I don't know if it's worth $10, but I used to get it all the time because the local machine was messed up. So, when I bought the $5 wash the machine gave me the rainx complete.

What's the old saying about black?

Wash it in the morning and it's dirty in the afternoon

I've owned 2 black Thunderbirds before I got hooked on the Stangs

I live in an apartment and I use the touch free car washes. No problems, and I think I live in a harsher climate than you. No swirls.

And that saying is 100% true. Black looks the BEST out of all the colors when it's clean, but it gets dirty very fast....Double edged sword

PS $10 in my book is pretty steep. I go to one of those quarter car washes and use the PRESOAK function they have. It doesn't do a perfect job but

They have that here - I noticed on my truck it leaves an oily film and my windshield is a nightmare to see out of when it rains. Just might be my car wash...

However, the touch free is nice when you don't have the time but.. NEVER get out and dry your car! Pre-soaking & hosing doesn't knock loose the dirt and grime that only the pressure from a wash mit will take off. I was at the car wash in my truck last week and this lady with a brand new Lexus walked over and kindly asked if I had a cloth she could use, I said sure and handed her a microfiber thinking she was going to dry her windows. Nope, she took it to her entire car and was scrubbing hard to get some left over dirt off...her BLACK Lexus.

You might give a try and let me know how it goe's. I don't have $10 to throw around right now.

Ugh...I couldn't even imagine doing that to my car, let alone a Lexus!
