Default drying issues/questions

I have always dried a car off by driving it a bit, but I need something more efficient for my new black cobra. I bought the California Jelly Blade. This is not getting anything accomplished. I did use the tactic of allowing free flow water from the hose to sheet off excess and this is an awesome tip. I had luck with microfiber towels after this, but have a couple concerns with the microfiber:

1) How do i keep from getting lint on the car? A couple cloths I used had lint on them.

2) What is the proper way to clean these? I have run them through the wash with light detergent, but some have something in them still that makes a streak. I dont know if its detergent or leftover cleaning chemical

3) Should I just buy a few large super absorbent microfibers and only use them for drying and never clean them?

Thoughts/advice are appreciated!

I have a Laser Red GT, so I know all about how bad it looks if you don't get absolutely every last molecule of water off.

I too tried everything to dry my car, and nothing did any good. However, I eventually found a system that works.

Go to this website:

http://www.obsessivedetail.com/microfibers.html

I use the Monster Waffle Weave to soak up most of the water left behind by the sheeting. It will soak up almost all the water, but will leave small films of it left. Then, I immediately go over it with The Amazing Dryer, which gets rid of every last trace of water.

The pair are more than enough to completely and totally dry an entire GT. You will be left with a car that is bone dry and you'll never have water spots again. These are very high quality microfibers, so they won't ever leave lint or fibers on the car.

When I'm done, I just hang them up on a hanger and let them air-dry. When they get dirty, I put them in the washer with mild detergent and then let them air dry. I don't like putting them in the dryer as it seems like it would cause them harm.

Also, don't forget to mention that you're a MF member when you purchase the items. Justin gives a discount to forum members.

Good waffle weaves and Lg microfiber drying towels are your best bet. I would shy away from drying it off by driving it down the road and then drying it off. The water will come out of the cracks but, it will usually bring out other things as well. Then you start drying the car off and the grit gets caught in between the towel and the clear coat and you've got yourself some marring or swirls. Some ppl use an electric blower to blow some of the crevacis out. I usually wash mine before I go to bed and it will dry thoughout the day.

Microfiber will last you a while. Just wash them with laundry detergent, just dont use any fabric softener or dryer sheets. I usually dry them on low heat. They'll dry pretty quickly. Usually less than 30min. I usually use All Free n Clear or Micro-Restore. I think its just a matter of preference on what u use.

Justin sells some great products. You should also check out his site theragshack.com. He has alot of great microfiber products there. Also look at detailingbliss.com. There's alot of detailing fanatics their. I too suffer from black mustang ownership. I feel your pain.

I'd stay away from the cali Jelly Blade.
