rubbing compound questions
So I have a little problem with my paint. Basically I was working in my garage and knocked over a clear laquer spray paint can, it burst and got it on my hood, bumper and front side panel..
Will a good rubbing compound help get this off? Or will I just need to take it to a paint and body shop?

eeee that sucks i would of ran as fastt as i could and got some heavy dudy cleaner and pored it all over and started scrubbing with a sponge and washed it off. that would of totally saved you.
rubbing compound is harsh on a very thin clear coat and it will have a very Dall finish after your done but idk if it will even work to take it off in the first place!
So if its dry on there then thats it! sand a repaint.
Tell your insurance company that you came out and it was on your car.
Could you post some pictures to see the damage

Thanks, I would take a pic, but it isn't noticeable by the eye. It is clear.
I didn't have any type of cleaner on hand to grab. I tried using detail spray as it was something I had and rags, but didn't help. I will probably take it somewhere to have it done, and at the same time have my mirrors painted to match and get a few DOOR DINGS out. Also thinking of having the spoiler removed and have them fill the holes and paint so I can put the CDC ducktail that I like on.
