window cleaning made easy
Although a new poster to this forum, I have been reading and learning for quite some time...both here and on other Mustang sites. I own both a 01 black Bullitt and a 09 black GT, both are of course hard to keep clean, but look great when they do.
However, this post isn't about either of my cars, but rather to pass along some window cleaning tips. I have read numerous posts on how to clean windows so there are no streaks, lint, etc. and like several others I feel I've found a great way to keep them clean and streak free. All you will need is a good quick detailer, I've used Meguairs, Mothers and am currently using Adams Polishes and a good microfiber towel. Once they windows are clean, either through your normal wash or with a window cleaner. clean them again with the quick detailer and microfiber towel. There will be no streaks, lint or smudges of any kind. I also use it on the inside and it hasn't affected the tint at all. And we are all familiar with that haze that builds up on the inside of the front window...in AZ its from the heat and chemicals in the plastic reacting inside the car...however, the use of the quick detailer inside keeps it from happening as much.
The good thing is, if you get overspray on the paint, chrome or plastic, you just wipe it off. This method has worked for me for quite some time, so I hope it's useful information to pass along.

Good tips, so quick detailer doesn't have any ammonia in it right? Because the place where I got my tints done said that I couldn't use cleaners with ammonia in it because it messes up the adhesive in the tint.
To the best of my knowledge there is no ammonia in quick detailers. I have used it on the inside of both cars, one was tinted when I bought it by an unknown person and the other car was tinted from the factory by Ford. No problems with either one.
Maybe go back to where you got it tinted and ask for a small sample of the tint they used and just spray some on it and see what happens. Can't hurt to ask.
Good luck...this process works great !!
