Question Ground Effects Two Sided Adhesive Tape

I am trying to find the best quality overall two sided adhesive tape for securing the ground effects on my GT. Does anyone here have opinions on what the best brand is. I took it to an autobody shop, they tried two different types neither of them stayed secure here in Lower Alabama during this past summer.
Thanks,

3M brand

make sure both sides are 100% cleaned and then wiped down with denatured alcohol.

I would have to say 3m. I think its 3m that companys use on most body kit parts that require tape.

I dont know about 3M I cleaned my car perfectly before I put the scoops on my last car and the lowers stayed on pretty good but the upper scoops were peeling off after a summer, then I had the 3dCarbon Boy Racer kit and the side skirts and fender flares started to peel off when the tape started to lose stickiness so if I were you I would look into something besides the doublesided tape. After my scoops started coming off I used silicone gel to keep them on and it worked amazingly

3M double sided tape is the ****. That stuff is STRONG. I had a piece of my ground effect on the drivers side under the door of my trans am that lifted up because someone used some sort of extremely ****ty glue to try glue it to the body.... That was a nightmare for me to clean off. anyways, there was a bracket that was bent sorta and I had to push pretty hard to get the effect to stay flush to the body. I put a strip of 3M tape in there and it stayed no problem. I would highly recommend 3M double sided tape. My dad also used it to put side scoops, spoilers, hood scoops, chin spoilers on his mustang and that stuff has stayed for years.

3M tape will do wonders for body parts, but the surface must be clean or you're likely to be wasting your time. If you really want to make it stick, pick up some adhesion promoter to use on the areas you'll be applying the tape to.

It has to be the GRAY body molding 3M stuff with red covering, not the white stuff with green/white covering. I've seen people buy the wrong 3M stuff (white) that is not meant of body panels (even though I believe it states it)

yeah, as Derf said, buy the gray tape with the red covering. its almost like a tar. the white tape is more like sticky foam. the gray tape shouldn't have any problems holding the body panels on.
