Default Goo Gone???

I have used a product called goo gone to get the residue from stickers off of windows, and around the house before. I was in the grocery store the other day and saw some goo gone in a spray bottle. I started reading the back and it said works to remove bugs from cars. Has anyone tried this yet, and did it work? Is there any chance on damaging the paint?

I haven't used it on my car but did use it at work to clean my entire photo lab (work in a camera shop) along with a product called photfinish. It works good to get gum and gunk off of a surface and I doubt that it will damage paint. However, I would try it in a small portion in an unnoticable area first.

goo gone works ok on removing bugs and stuff from cars. i like using wd-40, it seems to work better for me though. they are both safe on your paints though.

^ Yep. I used Goo Gone to remove my 'mustang stripes' on my rocker panels before I applied my racing stripes. No damage to the paint.

Thanks for all the replies. I am going to try it once I get my car back from the shop, and I will let you know how it works on the bugs.

Any of those Bug Gone and Goo Gone products should be fine in regards to your paint - but remember to wax the spot when you are done as I believe it will take the wax off as well.
