Default Quick Detailer

I'm really sick and tired of the milky haze that meguiar's quick detailer leaves on my black car. I wipe it down and it disappears only to magically reappear a few hours later.

Is there something better than this crap which won't leave that residue behind?

I have an 05 Redfie, and I've been using the Turtle Wax Ice. Been happy with it so far. Now I've not had any grand plans for entering a car show, but everyone thinks it looks great. I'm happy with it also. Have not had any of the streaking issues such as you. Are you putting on too much? Now I know your car is black, and mine is red but they are both dark. Good luck.

You should give Optimum Instant Detailer a try, once you try this I guarantee you won't want to use anything else. I've used a ton of quick detailers and I honestly believe this is the best on the market right now. The slickness and gloss this give is amazing and it is very cost effective. They have the 17 oz. that is ready to use, then they have a 32 oz. that is concentrated that makes a gallon or a gallon that makes 4 gallons. You just dilute with distilled water. Here is the link to it on my website http://stores.theragshack.com/-strse...%26/Detail.bok Also, enter PROMO10 in the coupon box at checkout and get your 10% member discount as well.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Even if I were using to much - I'm wiping the surface until it's dry, flipping the MF towel as I go. There is no haze visible at that point. Come back to it later and there it is. Wipe it off and it goes away. But it comes back again. Eventually, if I keep after it, it will be gone for good. However this is obnoxious and I don't feel like I should have to do this.

If you don't mind ordering it, I love Griot's Speed Shine (as far as QD's go). I would also do a little research on ONR (Optimum No-Rinse), there are plenty of threads on it and believe it is a much safer alternative to QD'ing your car.

which Meguiars quik detailer do you use? Ultimate or the one that has been around for 15+yrs? Try the ultimate detailer works better for black cars and I do not get the white you speak of....I dont with the regular one either but I have seen it before on other dark colored cars and it actually is with the black ones that I have seen it.

I do detail cars as a side job and have been polishing, waxing, detailing, claying, wetsanding cars for 20+ yrs! I have always enjoyed Meguiars products......give our sponsor's QD a try....
