Default Need advice from painters.

K guys. Need help with an issue. First off, Im very **** when it comes to my cars appearance. In preparation for a front end clear bra, I had some road debris nicks touched up, with one area requiring some repainting. The color match is near perfect, HOWEVER, I can see a 'ghost' line in the paint where the new paint he added ends. It's like a hard line with no blending. Is this normal? Can't that be blended so I can't see it? What do I need to tell him when I return? It's very faint but it's killing me.

yeah, they should have blended it into the surrounding paint. you shouldnt see a distinct line where the painting stopped.

i agree, they should have blended it. unless your car is a metallic they should have wet sanded it and knocked the line down anyway.

essentially its just teh hard line from the tape.

hell for the last 4 years now dupont & ppg have had a blending agent out. its pretty nice. spray the area you want to touch up then fade it out a little and just take the blending agent spray can and spray the edges.

its pretty cheap too. something like $15 for a spray can but it lasts forever
