Used to use a chamois followed by microfiber towels, but it was taking longer to dry the car than it was to wash it (45 min. to wash and 1 hr. to dry just doesn't make sense to me). I ended up going back to a soft towel, Laser Red hides the swirl marks well; I just have to buff it once a year with polish and it looks ****. Electric leaf blower works great for getting water out of all the weird spots (body panel seams, hood scoop, etc.) and also for drying the engine, which I wash about every 2nd or 3rd time as the rest of the car.

Microfiber towels, sham wow. you just have to dry it out and get all the water out of it frequently. But all the work is worth it, i dont have any water spots, maybe some smears on the wind shield, but thats about it.

I use the same thing, except I go over the car first with my shop vac leaf blower. I use Adam's Detail Spray as I wipe it down to add shine and remove any spots.
