Yes it works very well. It's an easy process but you always have to make sure you use enough of the lube, quick detail, or whatever they give you so that you don't just scratch your paint.

Works excellent.

Mothers California Gold Clay Bar is probably the best value these days for a kit, which includes the lubricant, two large bars of clay and a towel.

If you feel bumps on "clean" paint, or your drying towel starts to drag, it's time for a clay and a wax.

If you're looking to try something new, try the PowerBall 4Paint with FX SynWax.

Bond Auto has the Clay Bar and FX SynWax, and WalMart has the PowerBall 4Paint. Sanel should also have it, or any of the smaller stores can order it.

My paint doesnt have any bumps. It is 16 years old but looks and fel new. Maybe i should just polish and wax it. The clay bar cant hurt it can it?

you would want to give the car a good wash before you clay the car. clay the car in sections that way the lubricate doesn't dry up. After claying the car, polish and then wax. and unless you're using the clay improperly then no you can't damage the paint.

Nothing better than a clay bar. Mothers is the best. Even if your paint still feels new, it cant hurt to clay bar it. I swear by clay bar kits. I clay bar'd my friends white 87 camaro that he is restoring (had been sitting outside for years) and when we were done the car looked like a thousand times better. really gives the car that extra shine and a really smooth feel

You really can't mess up claybar.. Just don't drop the clay on the ground and always keep the surface you are workin at lubed up.

Enjoy the new look. I know it really cleaned my car up. Night and day difference. Same with my dad's when i did it. Best thing i ever did to the car. Idk why i waited a year to do it.

just clayed my Shelby today and now need more clay. Will probably get the same, Pinnacle, but will cut it in half to avoid ruining the whole thing if I drop it.

Just read that using plain detail spray with the clay is not a good idea, as it won't keep your clay soft, and so your clay might not be any good the next time you go to use it.

BTW, I've seen where clay was designed to pull contaminants out of a car's clearcoat. But is it safe to use on older cars that did not have clearcoat? I remember detailing cars in the 80's and having the paint come right off onto the rag or the buff pad when waxing.

Claybar works great just take your time and make sure you don't drop the clay and get dirt in it. If you do throw it away and get new otherwise you'll end up with scratches : (
