Default Mother's Back-to-Black question

I use back-to-black for my weather trim and the back of my side mirrors. However, I hear that this can dry them out. I also hear that the best way to keep them hydrated is to add hemp oil to the back-to-black. What is this hemp oil and where can I find it? Do I just dump a bunch of it in the back-to-black bottle and shake?

Thanks.

Some of the black plastic on some Fords are doomed to fade regardless of what you use on them. I find the only sure way is a garage with no windows.

Default Mother isn't always right...

If you have to add something to a product to make it work right, maybe it's the wrong product. For the mirrors, trim, etc., try using Meguiar's Natural Shine Vinyl and Rubber Protectant. This will give these parts a nice clean natural looking shine to them. Great on tires, seats, etc. also. It lasts and doesn't streak off like Armor all type products. Has UV protectant and cleaners added. find it, read the label, and I'm sure you'll like it when you by it. I even use it under the hood on all the plastic pieces including the plenum and rubber hoses. Doesn't look greasy or slimey. Just nice. Spray it on a rag then apply. For tires, sponge it on, do all the tires, then wipe them down with a clean rag...awesome!

Give this stuff a try, they sell it at ACE in the home cleaning section. I mostly use it on my tires, but I used it on the mirrors and window trim, it works miracles...

I had my hoodscoop painted hot rod black by my ex-autobody shop guy. Turns out he didnt put any UV protection on it and it eventually faded over a couple of months. Every since I've been using M:b2b, it has never 'dried' out like it has before I started using it. I usually polish her once every 2-3 weeks and works fine. I just need to get it repainted, plain and simple.

The best product I've used to bring back faded plastic and that has the best durability is Black Wow.

I've heard nothing but good things about Black Wow. I could NEVER find it anywhere, though. It's a gel opposed to a 'polish', so I think I'll try Black Wow next.
