hey ok so my gt is a year old with 12,000 miles on it and its time for a detail )

im familiar with claying but had a question..does it affect the clearcoat in any way or simply just removes the junk from it?

after a good wash im going to :

clay
polish (recommendations on what to use here or if i really need this step)
glaze(od glaze)
wet obsession wax

input..?

The claybar is just going to take out embedded contaminants from your paint and leave it silky smooth. Sometimes it could leave some light marring, I always recommend polishing after you clay, you might as well since your polish is going to take out light scratches and swirls, bring out more shine and reflection plus clean your paint. Meguiars M205 or Optimum Polish both would work great for this.

The next products you have listed will make a great combo, the Wet Glaze and Wet Obsession wax are a couple of my top selling products!

just clayed the mustang, it will remove the contaminants from the paint and it will be smooth, i recommend the meguire's clay kit, i also polished after the clay using the meguire's nxt 2.0 paste, I am Very impressed with the results.

My advice is take your time and don't rush and if you lubricate the surface of the car enough you will not have any marring from the clay. good luck man.

hello, new member and probably not on the right site, sorry,,, if you could help that would be great. i'm a new owner of a GT, thinking of getting a hood bra, hearing it chaffes the clear coat. any suggestions to protect the front end and hood?
