Painted rims
Just finished painting my rims for under 40 bucks. Spent a good amount of time on them. Let me know what you think. Negative feedback is always welcome.

My procedure is as follows:
-I took off jacked up the car and took off the wheel, put the spare on and then took the rear wheel off so I can work on one wheel while the other is drying.
-I rinse the wheel with some water and dry it with bounty to get all the oils and dirt off of it. Lay some papers down so that you dont get the paint on your floors and drop the wheel on it.
-Here comes the hardest part. If you're painting your wheel all one color then this shouldnt be a problem. Surround the tire with news paper and tape, duct tape will leave adhesive stains so you dont want to use that. If you want to do what I did and leave parts of the wheel untouched then you will need more masking tape and a razor or box cutter, I used the latter.
-Next I sanded the wheel down with 400 grit paper.
-Then I wiped the wheel down with paint thinner on a rag followed by the duplicolor wipes. Not sure if both were necessary but the cleaner the better.
-I then sprayed 2 coats of primer, just follow the instructions.
-Let that dry and applied 3 coats of black paint
-After that dried I applied a clear coat.
-Take off your tape and you're set to go but make sure you dont drive your car for 24 hours after you finish.
The paints I used were for engines because the autozones near by did not have the wheel paint I was looking for. Engine paint works well too because it's pretty much the same thing but more heat resistant.
Snakebite, The car was still jacked up towards the front on that same side. I think my ride is as low as I want it to be. I have issues of scraping the chin spoiler and rear bumper sometimes.
