Default Need Some Help

Lastnight after washing my car I used some Mequiars Insane Shine on my cars. I guess the wind was blowing because this morning I noticed little spots all over my car. When I rubbed it my my finger it smeared so I know it is this tire stuff. I tried some no rinse wash on a area and some detailing spray and neither seem to remove it all. Am I going to have to Polmolive this crap off?

i wouldnt use the palmolive unless u need a quick fix..dish soap isnt the best for car paint, i would try a degreaser mixed with water. or get a meguiars or mothers clay bar, get the area wet and run the clay bar over it, clay bars take everything off including wax. so if u go clay bar, u might have to re wax that area. ..happy detaling

I hate spray dressings, thats a horrible product too. the sling thats comes off the tire after a drive kills me as well.

(can you tell I had a bad experience)

You need to wash your car again. What do you use for a car wash soap? I would get some of Mequiars ultimate car wash and have a go at it.

If it does not come off, its not the tire shine. The next step would then be a Clay and a cleaner/wax.

Thanks for the replies guys. I ended up washing the car twice and it seems I got it all off. The sun was going down lastnight just as I was finishing. I will get it in the sun today and give it a good look over. That is the last time I use that stuff. Not the products fault, but I am not going through that again. Going back to my sponge and gel.

Adam makes a carnuba wax called Americana. It is simply amazing and for the price, you can't beat it. Also what I step below the Americana is a liquid carnuba wax and and it is called Butter wax, it applies nice and easy and wipes off even easier. Butter wax produces a great shine but the protection is not the greatest. Join the Adam's fourms, you can get great help from really great people and even the Adam himself. Check it out, Adam's even has a 110% satisfaction guarantee.
