Default First post, after market headlights?

Hey guys, new to forums, and soon to be a new mustang owner. I just made a deal on a 2004 Mustang GT, which is yellow with 54k miles. There was only 2problems that i could find with the car, first was the headlights were really foggy from age, and there was a strange trunk residue. I do know they make a kit specifically to fix this problem which i noticed is usually like 50 bucks. I tryed this kit on my old car and wasnt quite satisfied with the results after an hour on each headlight, it seems it only last a week before they were foggy again. So i have made a decision to get some aftermarket headlights. Though they may not be legal, i think that they will add a subtle custom look which i like.

I just have a few questions for you guys who have a bit of experience with these aftermarket headlights, if you dont have a taste for aftermarket headlights i dont need to hear your opinion that they look ricey hah. So, my first question is, just a stock with blacked out interior (possible HID integration later), or a halo/angel eye headlight with the same blacked out interior? I dont really understand these halo lights, there only source of light is from the ring? You cant install your stock headlamps? I dont appeal much to headlights who have the dark clear lenses (VHT shadng). I do quite a bit of night driving. I am kind of just looking for some pictures here which could help me make up my mind. Also i have searched all posts with a "headlight" tag haha ive spent hours on this site, so dont recommend that. Hopefully this could potentially come a compilation of aftermarket headlights of some sort. My next question is i have read that most aftermarket headlights have leaks and obtain condensation of some sort inside of them? What would i use to go around these lights and seal them up? Would i still need to drill the holes recommended if i seal them right from the box? From what i looked at online i am partial to the look of the halo lights, but im not sure if they are very practical unless i can install my stock headlamps without much modifcation. Yes, i have seen the thread about the custom halo lights, it seems a lot more work than its worth. So please post your pictures of custom/aftermarket headlights! Thanks much.

P.S. Has anyone else had a problem in the corner of the trunk behind the hinges (where the weather stripping blocks the water) losing paint? I cant really tell if the paint is just missing or if there is some sort of like grey sap lol. All help appreciated thanks.
