Default Porter Cable Gift

Hey guys, I got a Porter Cable 7424xp for Christmas and just had my car repainted. It came with a white pad in the box. I just wanted to get some advice on how to use this without causing any damage to the car or paint. Are there other pads that I should get for other reasons? Are there certain things that it should not be used for? I'm new to these types of polishers/buffers so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Also with Adam's Polishes you can't ever get confused with with pad and which polish you should use, they are color coded. I would definitely check out Adam's polishes, they have great products, great customer service, 110% satisfaction guaranteed or 110% money back and great fourms with a lot of knowledge.

Adams has good stuff, but some of it is a little pricey and shipping can be a little high. Check out autogeek and look at the optimum or poorboy's line if you need something a little cheaper.

Nice Christmas present! I've been wanting one for some time now, but spend my money on mods instead. The polisher is just one part, the pads and polishes are endless. Just read up and make the decision on what you think you need them for. Be careful if you haven't used a polisher before also. It would suck if you burned that awesome new paint. There are tons of sites on proper techniques on using it.

The reason for the higher price is it is made in the USA, and the quality is top notch. The old saying, "you pay for what you get for" applies to everything. shipping isn't so bad, it just depends on where you live. Adam's always has ten percent discount codes to offset for the shipping.

As for burning through the clear coat, the PC 7424xp won't burn the paint, I guarantee it. That is why the PC is optimal for beginners. The only way to burn through the paint is if you were trying to, and that could be hard. Don't believe me, check it out for yourself. http://youtu.be/2XAqpOe9Zt4
This guy is for real, no editing, no animations, nothing, it is raw video from his garage.
