Dent and trim damage
Hi- new to the forums, and looking for advice. I bought a beautiful 2005 GT about 2 weeks ago- just pristine, and I'm very enamored of it. Last night I was laying in bed and my dog let off his 'stranger danger' bark, so I bolted up and ran outside, to find a %#,&@hole kid whaling away at my baby's window with a brick- trying to break the window and get whatevr the dummy thought was inside I guess. I took off after him- he's lucky I didn't catch him....
Long and short of it is, the window was not broken, but there's a nasty little inch and a half dent- with paint missing on the metal area of the car between the passenger window and the windshield, and the black trim along the top edge of the window (plastic) is scratched and damaged.
I've got the insurance co. Coming tomorrow for an estimate. but from my description, does anyone know how hard it is to fix dents in this area, and if there's anything that can be done - short of replacement - for the plastic trim?
Any info about what I can expect of tips to deal with this kind of body repair would be gratefully appreciated- I'm understandably very, very upset about this.... Thanks in advance
