Hey all. I just purchased new clear projector headlights for my 1996 mustang, and had a few questions. </P>


1. I want to purchase the absolute brightest <U>white</U>lights available for my stang. Price isn't much of an issue for me, nor is legality. Anyone know a manufacturer, bulb type, or better yet a website? </P>


2. The clear projectors also come with clear corners. I know a friend who has blue turn bulbs on his 1999 civic (yea he is a ricer I make fun of him all the time don't worry <IMG src=smileys/smiley17.gif border="0">), and I was wondering if there are blue or preferably green turn-signal bulbs for mustangs. Anyone have a website or know whereI can get them? Again, legality and price aren't an issue. </P>


3. I was going to have a local body shop install the lights, but I have heard that clear silicone should be applied around the lights and corners to prevent them misting up. Any suggestions as to how to best do this or if it is really necessary? </P>

You gotta be s**tting me.......a shop to replace a headlight assembly?

Dude, you remove some bolts and swap them out. Don't be a moron and attempt to swap them with the hood shut. I think that's where your thinking is messed up

If you want the brightest WHITE set of lights the only way to go is with HID everything else is yellow (wether you believe me or not, I really don't care, it's physics, the HID burns at a much higher wattage and gets about as close to the brightness of the suna s you can put on a car).

you can get almost any freaking color ricer bulbs today, just find the PN for the bulbs on your car and lookf ro a colored bulb that has the same fitting/PN and is a direct replacement.

I never said that I was going to install the lights with the hood closed, if you imagine I did, you need to pull yourself out of the fantasy land in which you live and read what I REALLY wrote. </P>

Jeep is right, the only way you'll get a white light is from HID's. </P>


Headlights aren't as fragile as you believe them to be. If you can spank your own monkey without pulling out pubes you can change some headlights <IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0"></P>

All right, to clear things up AGAIN, I never said jeep was wrong, he may be right and I may go with HIDs.</P>


Perhaps it would be simple for you guys to do the install, I have no experience installing anything on my car before so things are different. As a complete amature I do not want to drop one of the lights cause I am nervous, accidently scratch it, etc. </P>
