Tint vs Proper Leather Care...
Hey Guys,
Being down in the south, things heat up pretty quickly even in the winter and I've been advised to bite the bullet and get a good tint - to the tune of $180. Personally I'm not a huge fan of the attention that tint brings, but I do see the utility.
My question is: as long as i keep F21 on the plastic/dash and good quality leather cleaner/conditioner on the seats, will the interior be protected just as well as if i went for the tint? I do realize that the interior care has to happen anyway - but monthly is better than weekly and I'd rather put that $$$ towards a tuner, pulleys, etc
Thanks!

Tint will make your A/C more effective, give longer life to your interior, give an element of security by making it harder for bad guys to see inside (day of night), and gives your eyes a break by limiting exposure to UV coming from the side and behind.
If you question the value, you have never owned a car before and after tint. That is the very first change I make. My 2011 was tinted before I even took delivery.

I just finished tinting my windows and the only question I have is why did I wait so long to do it. Tinting should be one of the first things you do, especially if you are concerned about protecting the interior
If your car is registered in NC, be sure the tint is "legal" before you add any of them. We can only have 35% in NC. Light transmission is measured at your yearly inspection. Find a good installer.
35% is not nearly as dark as some states allow, but does the job pretty well.

^That sucks *****. I think Ive finally found a state that sucks worse then Cali when it comes to what you can and cant do to a car. We atleast can tint the front windows just not the winshield. As for the OP - $180 isnt to bad IF it comes with a lifetime warrenty. Dont forget to ask about that. Because you dont want to have to pay to have it done again in a few years if they didnt do it right the first time.
